The goal was to make version that alludes to Soave. And I would just settle for Italian-esque.  But I think both might actually be present in this bottle.  There’s on a quarter of an acre of this planted in the Willamette Valley so it’s a ridiculously small production but I have always had a soft spot for ridiculous pursuits.  The wines of Angelino Maule are the inspiration here so unsurprisingly there’s a brief soak on the skins for a couple days and then off to old barrels for a nice rest.  Waxy, herbal, tropical - not Top 40 Soave but it’s alternative cousin.
